Stokes, English Vernacular Script, ca 990–ca 1035, Vol. 2 (PhD Thesis, University of Cambridge, 2006)
This was written in the upper margin with a fairly thick pen but no shading. Neither ascenders nor descenders are longer than minims. Minims themselves can have a small approach-stroke or lack decoration, and they all lack feet. The shoulders of h and n are rounded, and h itself is essentially Caroline. The ascender of h has a small wedge; that of þ is no longer visible, and neither is the final e.
