Stokes, English Vernacular Script, ca 990–ca 1035, Vol. 2 (PhD Thesis, University of Cambridge, 2006)

These glosses were probably written by one scribe who wrote a small, angular hand with light ink and a thin pen. Descenders are straight and relatively long, minims have short approach-strokes or are straight, and the shoulders of letters are angular. Round e was used, as was round c and straight undotted y. The back of ð is straight and angled at about 60°, and the through-stroke is short and lacks a hook. The top of 7 is hooked up slightly on the left and the down-stroke is straight but angled left.
